Background

Neuro-Linguistic Programming,(NLP) began in the early 1970s when two Americans, a mathematician called Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder, wanted to find out what made a person who excells at a skill and someone who is merely competent.

They researched successful therapists and built models of the linguistic and behavioural patterns used by them.

Bandler and Grinder named the modelling process Neuro-Linguistic Programming,(NLP).They found people who excelled in their chosen field often don't know how they obtain such good results. People with these skills are able to communicate complex tasks extremly effectively without thinking about it. As a result, it's very difficult for them to teach their skills to someone else.

Modeling

Modelling provides techniques to break down these skills into simple steps which anyone can use. With this information, it's much easier to teach that skill to another person and enable them to produce the very same excellent results.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming pre-supposes that the behaviour of an individual can be changed by use of the precise language and by constantly updating and upgrading an individuals mental capabilities. NLP gives you the tools to modify or eliminate unwanted behaviours as you desire.

It provides you with the skills and ability to choose your mental, emotional, and physical states of well being at any time. You learn how to improve your communication skills, internally and externally. This transforms your relationships resulting in much improved outcomes.

NLP, enables you to learn to grow from all life experiences, thus increasing your understanding as to how to obtain a better quality of life. NLP provides you with tools to improve your personal and business development. NLP is a combination of a number of disciplines and offers a systematic means of achieving consistently excellent results in not only business and personal but all human interaction. It can be successfully applied in a wide range of fields including business, health care, sport, coaching and the performing arts.
